Double White Orchid Plant

Two arching stems of white phalaenopsis blooms rise from this potted orchid, set above glossy green leaves. It grows in bark, the way orchids like it.

White feels calm and respectful, so it is a frequent pick for sympathy. It also works as a thank-you, a housewarming or a quiet thinking-of-you gift. Give it a bright spot out of direct sun and water sparingly, and the flowers can stay open for weeks. With patience it may bloom again later.

A nearby florist chooses the orchid by hand and takes it to the recipient.
