Easter Lily Plant

Snow white, trumpet shaped flowers rise from this potted lily, which sits in a wicker basket tied with a ribbon bow. Several stems share the pot, and the buds open in turns, so the plant keeps flowering over a long stretch. Pick a 6, 8 or 10 inch pot.

A living plant lasts well past the holiday, which makes it a good fit for a grandmother, a teacher or a new homeowner. Many families also send lilies to remember a loved one at Easter. Keep it in bright, indirect light and water when the soil feels dry.

A florist close to the recipient prepares the basket by hand.
